DePauw University
Professor
Greater Chicago Area
I start a new adventure this fall as University of South Carolina's first Baldwin Fellow. The program, funded by alumnus Ken Baldwin, is aimed at bringing in a journalist who will teach and help the school develop business journalism programming while the fellow completes a PhD. The past seven years I have taught and developed curriculum at both DePauw University and Ohio University. In 2007, I entered academia after spending 30 years as a reporter and editor at Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Dallas Morning News and Denver Post. I live in Chicago with my spouse, Julie, who is business editor of the Chicago Tribune.
